This shared use path has a width restrictor which is too narrow to get some cargo bikes/trikes through

School Walk could be converted into shared use as a traffic-free route for cycling. If parts are safe for motor vehicle access, it must be safe for cycling.

Cars park immediately next to the end of the cycle lane, blocking the existing lane. Extending the lane would clearly indicate how much room is needed to get a bike past.

Public footpath no. 25 or 26 to Shortwood common. Vegetation needs cutting back that has overgrown the path in places

Now that a crash barrier has been built in the middle of the road, cars are speeding even more than usual. A dedicated cycle lane is needed as the pavement is full of tree roots and far too narrow.

A cycleway would be a huge benefi. The road is used by lots of large lorries and is very narrow in places leaving cyclists quite exposed.

A very narrow windey road in places that a business park is situated down and accordingly a lot of large lorries use this road

Nasty pinch point. Cyclists expected to use narrow pavement and give way to side road, or take the lane and risk drivers trying to squeeze past or angrily revving their engines behind you.

The road is very wide and there is plenty of space for a segregated lane. If done in conjunction with other suggestions on Fordbridge Road this would create a continuous route between Ashford and Staines.

Narrow lane exists but in very poor condition and paint worn away.

Make cycleway fully protected all the way to Walton Bridge.

Create an official cycle cut through here to avoid having to go up to the roundabout and back.

Wide lanes. Could easily add a protected cycleway and slow the speed limit to 30.

Remove one lane of traffic in each direction and create a full width on road cycleway. Can be done with cones and wands to start with.

Cycle access on the roundabout is poor. Need to lengthen a couple of light phases so cyclists can get through them in time and change lane markings to ensure drivers do not cut into cyclists.

Fast road with wide lanes. Wand protected cycleway could easily be added in both directions along this road.

This is a long road with room to install a cycle lane from the sides of the road.

Traffic squeezing through, multiple lanes

Painted cycle lanes need protection. Vegetation on the verge needs to be cut back as is encroaching into the cycle lane.

Needs wider protected cycleway

Fast moving traffic on a wide road. Needs protected cycle lane in both directions.

A cyclist has already been killed on here this year so a protected cycleway needs to be added and speed limit enforced.

Protected cycle lane and Cycle priority lights should be added here to join the lane over the junction. The pavement and crossing are too narrow to socially distance from cyclists too.

Protected cycleway should be created down this road as its heavily used but drivers go too fast. Additionally pavement parking should be restricted to ensure space for social distancing while walking.

Cycleway should be extended from School Road (protected not just paint) one lane in each direction can be closed to accommodate, which also will lower speeds to nearer the speed limit and reduce noise for residents.

Current paint cycleway should be made protected and parking on the pavement should be heavily restricted (can be done by using wands to create the cycleway). Additionally the speed limit should be lowered as this street has a school on it.

One lane should be turned into a cycleway in each direction once current works are finished as the current shared use path is too narrow to walk on socially distanced.

One lane should be turned into a cycleway in each direction once current works are finished as the current shared use path is too narrow to walk on socially distanced.

The parking here should be closed and space made for socially distant walking and cycling

There is space here to have a cycle lane (removing some old unused parking bays and continuing on from the previous section)

Gap of approximately one car length between two cycle lanes - why??

Walton Lane - a contraflow cycle track leading to Walton Bridge, not signposted from Shepperton.
